The last Will and Testament of Thomas Clarke 1728
In the name of God Amen I Thomas Clark of
of Warboys in the County of Huntington Cordwainer
being sick and weak in body but of sound and perfect
mind and memory praise be therefore given to
Almighty God for it do make and ordain this my
present last will and testament in manner and forme
following that is to say first and principaly I comend
my soule into the hands of Almighty God hopeing
through the merrits of my blessed Lord and saviour Jesus
Christ to have free pardon and forgiveness of all my
Sins & to inherit Everlasting Life and my body I commit
to the earth to be decently buryed And for such
temporall estate as Almighty God has been pleased
to bestow upon me I do give and dispose thereof
as followeth - - Item All that my messuage or
Tenement situate in warboys aforesaid and now in the teniour
occupation of John Marshall together with the
yards barnes outhouses commons and appurtenances
whatsoever to the same belonging or appurtayning
and the Reversion and reversions Remainder and
remainders thereof I do hereby give and bequeath
unto Elizabeth my wife for and during the whole
term of her natural life and immediately after such
her life ended to the heires lawfully begotten of our two
bodyes, and for want of such heires: to the right
heires and assigns of me the said Thomas Clark
for ever - In witness whereof to this my last
will & testament – I have hereunto set my hand
and seale the sixteenth day of January
