Clark Philip of Warboys Will 2nd Novr 1754
In the name of God Amen, The twenty ninth day of
April 1754 I Philip Clark of Warboys in the County of Huntingden
Yeoman, being very sick and weak in body, but of perfect mind and memory, thanks
be given unto God, Therefore calling unto Mind the mortality of my body, and knowing
that it is appointed for all men once to die, do make and ordain this my last Will
and Testament, and as touching such worldly Estate wherewith it has pleased
God to bless me in this life, I give, demise, and dispose of the same in the
Following manner and form,
First I give and bequeath unto Mary my Beloved Wife, All that my
commonable messuage or Tenement wherein I now Dwell with this Grass-
yard or Orchard with all the Appurtenances thereunto belonging untill my
son William Clark shall arrive to the age of twenty one years and if in
case my son William Clark shall depart this material life before he is
arrived to the age of twenty one years, then my will is that Mary my
Wife shall have and enjoy it during her natural life, Also I give and bequeath
unto Mary my wife all those my five Cottage Messuages now in the occupation
of Samuel Lattemer & John Story with all the appurtenances thereunto
belonging by Her freely to be possessed and enjoyed during her natural
life, Also I give and bequeath unto Mary my wife, all my household goods
Debts and moveable effects whatsoever and whereover
And I hereby nominate and appoint the said Mary my wife, Sole
Executrix of this my last will and testament, the paying of all my just
debts and funeral expenses and profit of this my will, and she not
charging any thing for my Son William Clark’s Board Schoolling nor
Clothing, and I do hereby utterly disallow, and disannull all and every other
Former Testaments, Wills, Legicies, and Bequests, and Executors, by me in
any ways, before named, Willed and bequeathed, Ratifying, and conforming
this and no other, to my last Will and Testament, In Witness whereof, I
have hereunto set my Hand and Seal, the day and Year above written
Signed, Sealed published and Declared by the Philip Clark
Above Names Philip Clark as and for his last Will his mark and Seal
And Testament, in the presence of us who have here
unto subscribed our names as Witnesses thereunto
in the presence of the said Testator and in the
presence of each other,
